FU Helm
Follow-Up (FU) is a type of steering control system in which the rudder is turned in the commanded direction via the FU helm unit.
A feedback unit continuously transmits the actual rudder angle to the control system. The control system compares the commanded rudder angle with the actual position and automatically stops the rudder movement once the target angle set by the FU Helm is reached.
This closed-loop control principle enables precise, stable, and repeatable rudder positioning.
