Anchoring and Mooring
Systems
Systems
DATA’s windlass systems are engineered to provide maximum control, safety, and durability during anchoring, mooring, and line-handling operations. Comprising anchor windlasses and capstans, these systems are specially designed for vessels and yachts of all tonnages.
Featuring high-performance hydraulic drive units, these systems ensure uninterrupted operation even under demanding marine conditions. All models are customized according to chain size and operational requirements, and tested in compliance with international classification society standards for quality and safety.
Anchor Windlasses
Anchor windlasses are essential deck machinery designed to ensure safe anchoring and precise chain handling. DATA offers both horizontal and vertical windlass types, providing high-performance, customized solutions for commercial vessels, tugboats, and yachts of all tonnages.
Mooring Capstans
Mooring Capstans are powerful hauling systems designed to ensure the safe winding of ropes and chains on board vessels. Data Hidrolik offers mooring capstans with various pulling capacities ranging from 500 kg to 15,000 kg. Thanks to the design in which the gearbox and motor are positioned below the deck, an aesthetic and flush deck surface is achieved.
Hydraulic Systems
DATA Hydraulic Systems are designed primarily to supply power to anchor and maneuvering windlasses. Thanks to modular control valves, the same hydraulic circuit can also feed other deck machinery such as cranes, hatches, and drives. This configuration ensures compactness, efficiency, and operational safety.
Chain Stoppers & Compressors
Chain Stoppers & Compressors are a critical component for the safety of the anchoring system. According to classification society rules, they must be designed to hold a load equal to up to 80% of the chain breaking load. If a chain stopper is not used, this load is transferred to the windlass brake. Data Hidrolik strongly recommends the use of chain stoppers to protect the windlass against excessive loads that may occur during anchoring operations.
Chain End Fastening Devices
According to classification society rules, the end of chain in the chain locker must be connected to the hull in a detachable way. By means of the chain end fastening device, it is possible to set apart the end of chain remotely from deck or from a compartment neighbour to the chain locker. DATA offers various types of chain end fastening devices suitable for the chains in its range.
Control Systems and Accessories
The Control Systems and Accessories category includes starter panels, motor starters, and remote control solutions that ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrically driven and hydraulically powered deck equipment.
