We have launched a new factory investment to meet growing production needs, shorten delivery times and develop products for higher-tonnage vessels.
As part of the investment, we will add 5,000 square metres to our existing 5,000-square-metre indoor production facility, bringing the total production area to 10,000 square metres. This will represent a 100% increase in production space, while enabling us to double our production capacity.
Cem Hüroğlu, Member of the Board of Directors at Data Hidrolik, commented on the importance of the investment for the company’s future objectives:
We do not view our new factory investment solely as an increase in physical capacity. Alongside our production facility, we are expanding our testing areas and R&D centre to develop products that meet the requirements of higher-tonnage vessels. Ranking first in the Marine Equipment and Supply Industry for three consecutive years—in 2023, 2024 and 2025—at the ‘Award On Water’ ceremony organised by the Turkish Ship, Yacht and Services Exporters’ Association is a tangible indicator of the level we have reached in exports. With this new investment, we aim to respond to higher-volume export orders, expand our product range and deliver orders in shorter timeframes.
A New Structure for After-Sales Services
Through our new subsidiary, DHMS (DATA HİDROMEKANİK MAKİNE SERVİS) , we are fully separating our after-sales service and spare parts operations from our manufacturing activities. This new structure will enable us to manage after-sales processes more quickly and efficiently, respond to customer requirements in shorter timeframes and allow our production units to focus more closely on their core activities.
Greater Capacity for Defence and Commercial Projects
We plan to advance our active role in defence projects through the technical infrastructure and expanded engineering capacity provided by our new facility. Once the investment becomes operational, we expect to undertake larger-scale defence and commercial projects while creating new employment opportunities across our production, engineering, R&D and support departments.
With our new factory investment, we are increasing our production strength while restructuring our R&D, testing, after-sales service and export operations in line with our growth objectives.
