Hydraulic Helm Pumps
In manually operated steering systems, hydraulic power is generated by turning the helm wheel, transferring motion to the pump shaft and creating pressure within the system. Helm pumps can be used as the primary unit on small boats operating with a single cylinder, or as an auxiliary or emergency unit for electro-hydraulic systems on larger vessels.
DATA hydraulic helm pumps are manufactured in eight different displacement options, suitable for use with various sizes of hydraulic steering cylinders. The pumps are axial piston type and are specially designed for marine steering applications.
All models, except DP120, DP160, and DP240, are CE certified in accordance with ISO EN10592:2000 standards.
