Hydraulic Power Units
DATA hydraulic power units are specially designed to support steering systems. According to classification society rules, hydraulic power units dedicated to steering systems must be completely independent and not shared with other ship systems. Steering system HPUs are equipped with all the sensors required by these regulations.
As with all other DATA hydraulic systems, the design follows high-quality standards, prioritizing reliability, safety, performance, easy and secure installation, simple maintenance, and long service life. Perhaps the most significant feature of a complete hydraulic system is its delivery in a configuration that is as close to installation-ready as possible. In DATA hydraulic systems, only the external hydraulic and electrical connections need to be made onboard, which greatly reduces installation time and complexity.
All systems are supplied with the necessary technical drawings and installation manuals, ensuring easy setup and long-term reliable operation.
The hydraulic power unit for the steering system consists of four variable-displacement pump units mounted on a platform (skid).
