Features
The gypsy is equipped with both a clutch and a band brake, allowing the gypsy and warping drum to operate independently.
The chain can be released by loosening the band brake.
The gypsy is engaged through a dog clutch mechanism.
Electric motor-driven models are equipped with a torque limiting coupling for overload protection.
The housing is made of galvanized steel construction, while the top cover and motor cover are made of marine-grade aluminum. All surfaces are coated with polyurethane paint.
The drive shaft and brake screw are made of stainless steel for maximum durability.
Electric motor versions use a direct-on-line (DOL) starter system.
Vertical supports at the ends of the main shaft reinforce the structure and allow adjustment of the spacing between the two gypsies.
